28.5.08

Trying to make sense of the chaos.
I am not a gifted Gardener. I am however, rather pleased with this effort. Its the start of a veg bed. No idea what to do next, thats Mrs G's department. I suppose its a question of extending it, and clearing the junk that lurks just out of shot.

27.5.08

A trip into town for a frozen food shopping fest. I have a thing about price of petrol at the moment, so Mrs G is encouraged to shop in bulk. When we dragged our supplies back to the car, I was delighted to see a Morris Traveller parked next to our ride. I got to thinking, its 2/3rds the size of our car, but ticks all the boxes....seats 4 in a degree of comfort, it's an estate car, so Alfie is catered for, it has a smaller engine, but adaquate power, good visibility all round. It is not stuffed with dubious engine management systems, electric windows, air conditionning, exploding steering wheel, dashboard luminance control etcetc. If it goes wrong, I strongly suspect a 13mm spanner, and a hammer is about all thats required to fix it.
Prehaps I am a fool, but is there not a market for something simple like this?

The reality is, it has more rust than the titanic, rot on the wooden rear frame, and from distant memory, was not that easy to work on.

Oh well, back to the Vauxhall .....

5.5.08

Bank Holiday Monday, and experience tells us to avoid the town at all costs. Kids playing in garden, which is starting to look established, which I think is estate agent speak for big plants. Basically, we have planted loads of stuff, over the past few years, and some of it has not died yet.
Mrs G works wonders, I am more of a hack it down and get rid type gardener.
All the green stuff is because Mrs G works miracles.

Record profits from Oil companies.
We still pay VAT on Petrol Tax.
A tax on tax.
